Ways To Increase Office Productivity

August 1, 2017

We spend a lot of time at work, some of us more than our own homes, but to get the most of our time there, we should aim to be highly productive. The 3 p.m. slump can often hit hard, and when it does, finding focus can seem impossible. But luckily there are many ways you can fight past it! To find some motivation to be productive and make the most out of your work day, here are just a few of the ways you can increase your office productivity:

Proper Lighting

A well-lit office can help you stay focused, leading to a more productive work day. Though proper work lighting is usually a non-thought, an ill lit room can cause fatigue and eye strain, leading to mid-day burn out. If you don’t have any say in your office lighting, you can always invest in your own or add as much natural light as you can.

Room Color

You might not have a choice in your office color, but you can choose the accessories. Certain colors are known to inspire and create better brain function; so if there’s a particular color that you love or one that brightens your mood, invest in some accessories and stationary in that color to help brighten up your work day!

Adjust Your Desk and Chair

To avoid back ache, hunching, and squinting you must first achieve the perfect work setup. A desk at the wrong height can wreak havoc on your posture, and break your focus more than you realize. If you are constantly shifting to be comfortable, it might be time to invest in a new desk and chair. Your feet should be on the ground and the monitor below or at eye level. Find your perfect office setup, and watch yourself type away.
