As spring comes to an end and summer begins, it’s time to think of ways to enjoy the warm sunny weather. Beyond beach days and picnics — there are some great summer sports to consider! Whether you’re taking up a new sport or are only interested in sitting in the bleachers and being a spectator, sporting events are a great way to enjoy the outdoors! So here are just a few of the best summer games you should consider this season:
1. Soccer
As the most popular spectator sport in the world, you won’t be the only one looking to cheer on your favorite team. Interested in joining a team sport that will help you get your cardio in? Soccer is it— and many of the leagues run year-round!
2. Baseball/Softball
If you’re interested in team sports, but running isn’t your favorite activity, you can join a baseball or softball team. It’s a wonderful way to strengthen your arms and legs, and burn a few calories. Don’t forget to catch a game at your local stadium too!
3. Tennis
If team sports aren’t your thing, why not try tennis? Whether you casually volley the ball or train for a full match, tennis requires skill and coordination. If your skill level isn’t where you’d like it to be just yet, you can always learn from the pros and catch a local match.
