The final countdown to summer has begun! As you start to prepare your kids for finals and prepare for the summer ahead, there is one big day you don’t want to neglect, and that is graduation.

As administration and faculty, graduation day might seem like a well-oiled machine by now, but without the right preparation, it can be extended, unorganized and only just a mess. So to adequately prepare to give your students the best day possible, here are a few things you’ll want to add to your do list now, so you can sit back and enjoy the day later:

Check your bleachers

Looking for any issues now will save you from a ton of headaches day of! In a few weeks, your bleachers will be packed with students, and you want to be sure they can handle the task. Look for any minor repairs you need and don’t forget to replace anything that could be a safety issue.

Don’t Forget Inside

Now is the time to fully solidify your rainy day plan. Setup an inside event location and make sure you have enough chairs and bleachers space to occupy everyone. Check equipment and ask for help cleaning and setting it up.

Prepare The Students

Plan days for rehearsal, gown pick up and even do a run through. Prepare with your volunteers and designate roles now. Look for entry and exit routes and make sure all employees and volunteers are fully aware of the day to day activities. The more you plan out now, the better prepared you’ll be a day off!
