How to Keep Your Classroom Clean

March 28, 2018

Education is not only about learning, but learning in an environment that is clean and comfortable for the students. This is especially important for when spring rolls around, and allergies are in the air. Some of these cleaning tips can help out the classroom a lot:

Get Rid of Stuff

Getting rid of the clutter that is not needed anymore is vital in keeping the class clean. Discard and recycle material that you do not need anymore; this will create more space and make cleaning easier as well.

Time to Clean

A classroom can quickly be filled with dust and germs in a matter of a few hours. Make sure you sand, clean, and wash. Dust can be found everywhere; from the chalkboards, windows, seats, desks, shelves, and such. Also, clean off desks and shelves with a germ-killing spray and germ wipes. Doing this will prevent allergies for students and teachers during the spring as well as eliminating harmful germs and bacterias.

Clean Floors

Do not forget to clean the floors because they are just as germ filled as everything else in the classroom, if not more. If you have carpet, vacuum all the dust that remains. If you have tile, sweep and mop up all the excess dust and bacteria that are found there. If you want to maintain the cleanliness in your classroom, you can stack chairs, so the custodian can clean or vacuum the floors efficiently. You can also have your students pick up extra debris and trash off of the ground and wipe the white and blackboards.
