- TeacherKit – Are you ready to cast your gradebook, attendance folder, and notepads aside? With TeacherKit, you can take attendance with the tap of a finger, enter quick classroom notes that can be referred to later on, and even track grades and progress. While the app is free to use, there is a subscription fee ($3.99/mo or $39.99/yr) for downloading and printing reports.
- ClassDojo – Not only can you build classrooms, and keep notes and student data, but you can also keep comments on groups and individual students as well. Unfortunately, there’s no formal gradebook or reporting structure, but the app is 100% free and includes great communication tools that allow your to private message parents directly! Plus, it has an awesome news feed feature, so parents can keep up with what’s going on in the classroom.
- Remind – Are you old school with record keeping? We get it! But that doesn’t mean you can’t still have all the great communication benefits of the first two applications. With remind, you can protect your privacy and keep your phone number personal, while still keeping in close contact with all of your students’ parents. This is a great way to post class announcements and share photos as well — and it’s free!
