Meet Our Team: Jeannie Riorden

This month, we’d like to introduce you to our Central and Eastern New York Customer Service and Sales Representative, Jeannie Riorden!

Born and raised in the Rochester, New York area, Jeannie has always had a passion for being a member of the sales force. Though growing up she wasn’t sure what she wanted to pursue a career in, she quickly discovered that she wanted to be in the outside sales field and began her quest for a position that would allow her to do so. While attending Monroe Community College for a degree in business administration, Jeannie began working full time for Wegman Food Markets. In this position, she realized the importance and value of the customer and dedicated herself to acquiring the skills and knowledge needed to excel in customer service and sales.

After leaving Wegman Food Markets, Jeannie started as an inside customer service representative for a sales and marketing agency, but soon figured out that she preferred the face to face interaction that comes with outside sales. Now, for the past 25 years, she has done just that, personally interacting with and assisting customers while helping them find solutions to their problems.

After 31 years of real life job experiences and interactions, Jeannie continues to push herself to find new challenges and product lines that she can help and represent. For the past 3 and a half years, we at Nickerson have been lucky enough to call Jeannie a part of our team, assisting our customers and helping them make the best decisions possible. When asked what her most memorable experience has been with us so far, Jeannie explains, “I get excited every time a repeat customer calls me for assistance, or I’ve found out they have referred me to another customer. That reassures me that I am on the right path of taking good care of my customers, enough for them to continue to call me and even refer me!”

When she’s not on the job, Jeannie enjoys watching her sons’ sport games, cooking and running! As soon as time allows, she’d also like to travel outside of the US and enjoy what the rest of the world has to offer!
